Kipchoge plots to break marathon world record in Berlin
Eliud Kipchoge is a man who has proven that human limits can be redefined when it comes to athletics, after his oh-so-close attempt to run sub two hours in Nike's 'Breaking 2' in Monza, Italy, back in May. Kipchoge missed the two-hour mark by just 25 seconds, smashing the marathon world record of 2:02:57 [Dennis Kimetto], but it was not recognised as a valid time by the IAAF.

IWG HOSTS MEDIA WORKSHOP PRE-CONFERENCE
A media workshop was held a day prior to the conference to engage media from the region. Media was identified as a key player during the development of a gender mainstreaming program that the IWG started in conjunction with the gender machinery in the country in 2015. The media workshop aimed to bring together media personnel from across the spectrum of media including both digital and traditional media to discuss and share best practices in women and sport journalism.

Kenya marked their U 20 women's qualifiers with a solid 2-0 win over Lesotho in the first leg of qualifiers staged at Nyayo Stadium today. Kenya beat Lesotho 2-0 to start their Women's World Cup qualifiers on a winning step. The two will face off again in a fortnight to decide who wins the tie. Kenya stamped their authority in the match with constant pressure that was converted into a goal in the 5th minute courtesy of Sharon Bushenei.

I'm an advocate for Women's rights and passionate about the sustainable development goals (SDGs) achievement through women empowerment and quality education.
